China Debuts World’s First Commercial 10G Broadband Network

China has launched the first commercially viable 10G broadband network, marking a major advancement in internet technology.

This cutting-edge network was developed through a partnership between Huawei and state-owned China Unicom and is now active in Xiong’an, a technology-driven megacity about 70 miles southwest of Beijing in Hebei Province.

Though this breakthrough allows lightning-fast downloads of an entire 8K film or multiple 4K videos in around one second, its primary mission goes beyond entertainment.
